Remember that one time I had a baby . . .

Hey all the 2 people that might stumble upon my blog and read it. I am back! And Ferfasaurus has a new addition! His name is Hank Thomas Hogle. He is pretty much the greatest thing on the earth. We love having him and are SO happy. Here he is!

From newborn to almost 4 months

I had to narrow down the pics a ton, i didn't think it was possible to take so many pictures! We love this boy! There will definitely be more pictures and stories to come from us.

Projects Around the House

As I mentioned in a previous post, our house did not need much work.

It just needed to be spruced up a bit.

So project number one was in our living/family room.

When we bought the house there was already chair railing up in the family room,

the thing with it was that it was painted the same color as the walls, and it looked dumb.

So what did we do?

We (I) took measurements of the room, decided how many boxes I wanted on each wall,

and went to Home Depot to buy some skinny molding (it cost us a whopping $36 btw),

Thomas cut the pieces to size with the correct angles and we nailed up the molding underneath the chair railing. I am a terrible writer, so this probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Here are a couple pictures to help you get the idea.

this is the room before (that tree unfortunately is not ours)

This is the room after nailing up the molding

and this is the room after we painted everything beneath the railing white.
(sorry all these pictures were taken with my phone)
See I did know what I was doing. I am really happy with how it turned out.

The 2nd project was a piece of furniture I bought at goodwill for $60.

I don't really have a during the process picture so I will just post a before and after.

This is the dresser before . . . and after.

We re-stained the top, taped it all off painted the rest this greenish color, once that had dried I glazed it, and we put a clear coat on top. I love this dresser, we are using it in our family room as an entertainment center for our movies and Nintendo and what not.
Anyway those are the projects we have been working on. Next stop Nursery.

(Probably should have been first stop)

I Can't Believe This Day Has Come

I honestly cannot believe that this boy . . . (the one on the left...haha Julia)
left on his mission today.
And when he gets home . . .
this boywill almost be as old as this girl . . .
The people of Mexico City are very lucky to have my little brother for the next 2 years. I am a little heart broken that he won't be here for our baby boy, but I promised to send him lots of stuff and to make sure our little guy knows his Uncle Teeny before he gets home.

We miss you already Tanny Baby. I have to stop writing because I am getting emotional already. You are the best.

I love my Family

I know I just did a post about 2 of my nieces Hattie and Mariah.

But I thought you might be interested to know that Mariah is Mega Mind

and she calls Hattie "Minion".
I love that girl.

I can't wait to have my baby play with his cousins!

I hope he is hilarious.

Family Discussions

We have all been debating whether Hattie looks just like Mariah.
In some pictures they definitely look like each other . . .
but I think they just look like sisters.

A little on Hattie. . . she is the sweetest baby ever.
Seriously she kills me.
She has started to make some noises and
her little voice is just so sweet.
We love her to pieces!

Anyway you be the judge . . . are they twins?
. . . Or just sisters.

(baby Hattie)

(baby Mariah)

Oh and P.S.

Mariah has been doing so good having a baby sister!

She is such a good helper, and calls Hattie "Baby sister Hattie"

And when she talks to her sometimes she calls her "Honey".

It is really cute.
